Dr. Sabiya Amanat
After years of practicing and teaching, Dr. Sabiya decided to create a more intimate and personalized dental experience for her young patients and their parents. She created an office that provides the highest level of care in a warm and inviting environment while giving the flexibility for at home dental care as well. She exhibits an unparalleled passion for treating children, providing unsurpassed dental care from infancy, the teen years and into young adulthood. As a mother of three, she understands the concerns and questions that parents and their children bring to her office. She will support you and your child along the entire dental treatment process, providing excellent specialized care end to end.
Dr. Sabiya’s goal is to help your young child understand that dental visits can be fun and exciting adventures and that oral health is an important part of an everyday routine. Fostering trust and instilling a foundation of oral health from an early age, Dr. Sabiya develops a caring and positive relationship with your child. Healthy teeth make beautiful smiles and we are excited to welcome your child to our practice!
Dr. Sabiya grew up on Long Island and has lived in Manhattan most of her life. She loved raising her 3 sons in Manhattan and enjoys spending the "empty nest phase" traveling, going to concerts and grateful for warm and beautiful sunny days!
Dr. Sabiya pursued her NYC education which equipped her with the necessary knowledge and skills to become an exceptional pediatric dentist.
With over 2 decades in academic and private practice experience, her lifelong commitment to caring for children’s oral health began with a BA degree in Anthropology from Barnard College before obtaining her dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
She earned her specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in 1998 from the Steven and Alexandra Cohens Children's Medical Center in Long Island, working with children of all ages and backgrounds and focusing on special needs and medically compromised children.
While in private practice, Dr. Sabiya also served as an attending dentist at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine from 1999 to 2008, and as an active member of the school’s admissions committee from 2003 to 2007. In this role, she mentored and guided aspiring dentists, sharing her expertise and nurturing their passion for caring for children’s oral health.
